- Each piece of glass is cut to size and protects the specimen from 50% of UV rays.
- The frame is 10x10 inches (27x27 cm) black shadowbox and can be hung on a wall or stand on a shelf.
Each frame is labeled with:
- common name
- scientific name
- gender (if known)
- location of origin
- Date

Papilio ulysses butterflies can be found in Australia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands
- Male Blue Mountain Swallowtails are known to be highly attracted to the color blue, mistaking blue objects for females.
- Named after Ulysses (Odysseus), the king of Ithaka from greek mythology, who was the hero in Homer's Odyssey and Iliad.
- The blue is a structural colour and the deep black parts are blacker than black (physics)
